Qian · San Jiu
The Line
The noble one is creatively active the whole day. Evening still finds them full of inner concern. Danger. No blame.
Interpretation
A sphere of activity opens up for the significant person. Their fame begins to spread. The masses come flocking to them. Their inner strength is equal to the heightened outer activity. There is more than enough to do, and even in the evening, when others rest, plans and cares press upon them. A danger is present here at the place of transition from lowness to height. Many a great man has been ruined because the masses rushed to them and swept them up into their own paths. Ambition corrupted inner purity. But true greatness is not impaired by temptations. If one stays in touch with the seeds of the new time and its demands, one possesses sufficient caution to guard against wrong turns, and remains without blame.
