The Line

Interpretation

Here the place of transition is reached, where freedom can act. A twofold possibility lies before the significant person: either to soar up and become decisive in the great world, or to withdraw and form their personality in stillness - the path of the hero or of the hidden holy one. As to which is right, there is no general law. Everyone in such a situation must decide freely according to the innermost laws of their being. If they act wholly truly and consistently, they find the path that suits them, and that path is right for them and without blame.
